Jai Hind everyone
I am Aryan Jaiswal, it's an honour and privilege to Spread my love for Fighter Aircrafts and I hope so to expand your knowledge for the same
Today I will brief you all about the SUKHOI Series of Russia
SUKHOI a aircraft development company from Russia is highly dominant in designing highly manuverable fighters but now all aircraft companies of Russia are merged with one another and they work as United aircraft corporation
It has been through a tremendous evolution starting from 1939 Sukhoi Su 1 to 2020 Sukhoi su 57
Its founder is Pavel Sukhoi
Who aspired to develop high value asset for his country Russia
The most important series in Sukhoi is the Flanker series
From Su 27 to Su 35
All the Flankers had the same body design during their evolution which makes this series easy to learn
Sukhoi Flankers would use light Aluminium - Lithium alloys making the aircraft body light in weight in respect of it's size
Flankers would have a swept back wing design which had a new concept of FLAPRONS
(Which simply means Ailerons and Flaps)
The FLAPRONS would work in unison (Together) to function as Flaps and work out of unison to function as Ailerons
The fuselage of the Sukhoi accounted 40% of lift generated by the aircraft
Later Sukhoi's were integrated with Thrust vectoring technology making them super manuverable fighters
It also had a foreign object protective system(This system protects the air intakes from Foreign objects on Runways preventing Damage to Engine and air intakes) which enabled the Flankers to be operated from unprepared airstrip
During the evolution of Flankers it undergone some external changes like Canards and Improved engine
And internally its Radar was improved
India also has it's own version of Flankers named as SUKHOI SU 30 MKI(NATO name Flanker H) introduced in 2002
And entered service in successive years
Flankers were equipped with various Air to air missiles like
1)R 27 ER air to air missile
2)R 73 IR SEEKER
3)R 77 ACTIVE RADAR
It can be also equipped with
UGBs (Unguided bomb)
Rockets
T pods (Targeting pod)
